The nut is manufactured from PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), while the internal ferrule is made of PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy). This combination of materials leverages the exceptional chemical inertness and wide temperature range of both fluoropolymers, making it a reliable choice for the most aggressive laboratory applications.
