The pH-1 SMA HP5 is a compact pH meter that can be used with PreSens pH SensorPlugs. It offers temperature compensation for precise pH measurements. This meter is USB-powered and can be operated with the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software.
General
This single-channel pH meter is small and lightweight for easy integration in many applications and has a measurement range of pH 5.5 - 8.5. It is compatible with HP5/HP8 sensors from PreSens, as well as SensorPlugs for non-invasive measurements, without any risk of contamination. For use with the SensorPlugs, a SMA-ST Adapter is needed to interface the meter with the optic fiber and the SensorPlug.
The pH-1 SMA HP5 meter offers temperature-compensated measurements to provide precise pH measurements even in an environment with changing temperatures (temperature sensor not included). It is USB-powered and is operated with the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software, which can control several devices simultaneously.
The complete setup for PreSens technology includes a meter, a sensor, and relevant accessories including the optic fiber. These components can easily be integrated to any microfluidics and organ-on-chip experiments.
Optical sensors offer several advantages that render them particularly well-suited for controlling small sample volumes:

* All systems can be used without a temperature sensor as the temperature value used for temperature compensation can be set manually in the respective device software. Therefore, the measurement temperature has to be known and remain constant throughout the measurement to ensure correct temperature compensation.
