Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.

This interaction chip reliably mimics physiological conditions in vitro and allows the study of cell-cell interactions, barrier penetration, and physiological responses in a more in vivo-like environment.
This chip has been developed to study cells co-cultured in three adjacent channels, into which microfluidic flows can be applied through their mini Luer ports. The three channels are divided from each other by transmissive pillar barriers. On each channel interaction chip, five independent co-culture units can be found, which differ in the width of the pillar barrier. One potential co-culture setting is the use of the two outer channels in perfusion mode, while the inner channel can be easily filled with a cell-containing gelatinous extracellular matrix, for static 3D culture conditions. However, cell culture is only one potential application area of this versatile chip.
All channels feature a depth of 500 μm. The inlets and outlets with integrated Mini Luer connections ensure leak-free junctions with the tubing and allow experiments under dynamic flow conditions.
