This SMA-ST Adapter is an accessory needed for some PreSens setups with SensorPlugs. It is required to connect the ST optical fiber to the SMA port on some meters.
General
The SMA-ST Adapter has been designed specifically to be used with SensorPlugs. It is required to connect the 1mm optical fiber with ST connector to the SMA port on the respective meter (pH or CO2). The adapter is thus needed to connect pH and CO2 SensorPlugs to their respective single-channel meters or to connect all SensorPlugs to the multi-channel meter.
Optical sensors offer several advantages that render them particularly well-suited for controlling small sample volumes:
- They are small
- The signal does not depend on the flow rate of the sample
- They allow for non-invasive measurement
