The upgrade of the standard Cartridge pump head is designed for high-precision synchronous multichannel pumping up to 12 channels. Compatible with most L/S drives.
It delivers a flow rate from 0.00005 to 350 mL/min depending on the head type and tubing size.

Masterflex L/S Reduced-Pulsation Cartridge pump head
The Reduced-Pulsation Cartridge pump head offers synchronous multichannel pumping over a wide range of flow rates.
- Precision molded housing
- Fast tubing changes: cartridge snap in and out easily
- 6 or 8 rollers for reduced pulsation and lower flow rates
- 1 up to 12 cartridges: 6-roller version accepts 2 or 6 large cartridges, 8-roller version accepts 4 or 12 small cartridges
- From 0.00005 to 350 mL/min and up to 600 rpm depending on the pump drive
- Adjustable occlusion optimized for each tubing size
- Compatible with 2-stop microbore or Masterflex L/S tubing
Tip: to further reduce the pulsation, cartridges can be mounted in opposite directions to balance their offset occlusion. Just connect the two tubes with a Y-connector to get the resulting flow.
Cartridge
Manufactured in polycarbonate and glass-filled nylon, the cartridges do not need any tool to be loaded on the pump head. Their occlusion “wedge” design provides accurate and more balanced flow control.
The 6-roller pump head supports 2 or 6 large cartridges, while the 8-roller pump head supports 4 or 12 small cartridges.
Compatibility:
- Small cartridge: all 2-stop microbore
- Large cartridge: Masterflex L/S 14, 16, 25, 17

Tygon E-Food and Viton (L/S sizes) are not recommended with Cartridge pump heads.
