Bartels BP7 Micropump

Bartels BP7 micropump is a piezoelectric pump designed for handling liquids or gases in a wide range of applications. Ultra-compact and lightweight, it integrates easily into your microfluidic system.

The BP7 is an improved version of the mp6, for more versatility and integrability into your system. This new version allows flow rates of up to 9 mL/min for liquids, and up to 35 mL/min for gases with fast response times. Requiring low maintenance and low power consumption, it is perfect for diagnostic applications.

Connect your flexible tubing to the BP7 - Tubing easily without any additional fittings, or use the BP7 - Mounting for direct connection to your own manifold.

With its simple design and construction, the BP7 micropumps can perform a wide range of tasks, including moving diagnostic samples through a microfluidic device, dosing lubricants, supplying sensors with a gas sample, mixing solutions, and much more.

Principle

Bartels micropumps are based on a piezoelectric diaphragm in combination with passive check valves. When applying voltage, a piezo ceramic mounted on a coated brass membrane is deformed, and the medium is being displaced out of the pump chamber below.

Sterilization

The Bartels BP7 Pumps can be sterilized using:

• Solvent cleaning such as Ethanol
• Autoclaving with saturated steam under pressure
• E beam radiation
• Gamma radiation

Radiation doses of 15, 25, and 40 kGy have been successfully tested.
