Whereas standard ChipShop connectors only accept soft-walled tubing, this set of connectors allows connecting any 1/16" OD rigid tubing to a ChipShop chip.
Suitable for rigid tubing (PTFE, PEEK, etc.) with an OD of 1/16" (1.6 mm). Manufactured in blue TPE, max. pressure of 3.2 bar with a 1/16" OD PEEK tubing.
Plugs to block unused ports are also available in our shop.

This "vessel-on-a-chip" system is ideal for gaining insight into vascular biology by modeling blood vessel geometry associated with a physiological flow of medium, cells, and/or particles or interest. The Y bifurcation exists with different options of bifurcation angles but also channel section types (semicircular or circular) and diameters. Bifurcation angle can be set up at 45°, 90°, or 135° allowing the study of a wide range of vascular geometries.
The circular channels enhance the physiological resemblance of the model to the human body to better decipher biological phenomena and test molecules.
These organ-on-chips devices are sold in packs of 3 chips with one Y design on each chip. The devices are made of PDMS and glass and are thus, autoclavable, biocompatible, gas permeable, and can be imaged with high optical quality.
